The story of Walk the Coast began in 2003. Chiropractor, Dr. Brent Manson, wanted to research comfort footwear options that were good for the body. He knew that his patients and people he saw were wearing footwear that was causing them pain. When the options were lacking in the Alberni Valley he decided to open a store with his wife Stacey. As they were preparing the store Sarah Jones, a certified pedorthist came along and added her own style and expertise. Stacey has always enjoyed the shopping experience. She loves predicting trends and make them work for people. She gets excited about buying shoes, boots, bags and clothing for you the customer. Walk the Coast is able to find great shoes and clothing sourced from right here in Canada to around the world. They are proud to offer the broadest selection of footwear on Vancouver Island. Almost 15 years later, we still look for proper biomechanics and quality when selecting footwear. Walk the Coast’s staff keep up to date on all the latest trend and technology changes in footwear. They are able to give the best advice for your feet and footwear choices, giving customers a true shoe fitting experience. Stacey and Sarah continue to love bringing cool new footwear and clothing to Walk the Coast. The store has developed into a premiere destination shopping experience on Vancouver Island. Walk the Coast has and will continue to evolve to provide the most up to date fashions for its customers in footwear and clothing. From hikers to high heels, they do it all.

Free shipping on all purchases within Canada

For All Purchases within the Continental United States or other countries a flat shipping rate of $20.00 will be applied to the purchase.  Please note that customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping

PayPal Confirmed Addresses Only

Walkthecoast.ca will only ship to the name and billing address indicated by the paypal confirmed shipping address.

Shipping Method

Walkthecoast.ca ships all online orders via Canada Post. Please note that OVERNIGHT SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE.

North American Orders

Canadian orders are shipped via Canada Post Expedited service with an estimated delivery of 2 to 9 business days depending on the postal code. Orders going to both the United States and Mexico are shipped via Expedited Parcel service. Delivery times vary between 6 and 14 business days depending on the zip code. Postage includes insurance and tracking number.

Walkthecoast.ca is not responsible for any duties or taxes that may be incurred as a result of shipping to another country.

International Orders

All international orders are shipped via Canada Post. This service includes tracking number, insurance and guaranteed arrival within 30-60 business days depending on location.

On regular priced orders, our store policy is exchange, store credit or refund only within 7 Days of receipt of order. Merchandise must be unworn and in its original packaging. Under no circumstances will a return be accepted that is in less than perfect condition. All sale priced items are considered a final sale. Additional markdowns on sale items will not be honored on previous purchases.

How to exchange for a different size/style

If you would like to return your item for a new style or different size, please email your request to info@walkthecoast.ca. If the item is available, it will put on hold for you while we wait for your return item to arrive.

How to return for store credit

Please notify us at info@walkthecoast.ca within 7 days of purchase, if you wish to return your order for store credit/refund. You will be issued a return authorization number that must be included on the outside of the package. In order to receive your store credit, the product must be in perfect condition, unworn and in its original packaging. Once we receive the return we will contact you via email to confirm receipt and issue you a copy of your store credit/ refund.

Important Details

The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. Returns should be sent by your domestic mail service (Canadian residents use Canada Post and US residents use US Post). All return parcels must be fully insured with a tracking number. All goods must be returned in resalable condition including packaging. Do not return parcels C.O.D. or via a courier service (i.e. FedEx, UPS etc.). For U.S. and International returns, mark the parcel as “Canadian Goods Return” on customs forms. Duties charged to walkthecoast.ca as a result of mislabelling or marking as “gift” will be deducted from your refund or store credit amount. Walkthecoast.ca reserves the right to refuse sales to individual customers at its own discretion.
